How about Obama - Clinton?
And why not Roxas - Escudero?
How about at the local front in Cebu?
For Mandaue City, we’d want Carlo Fortuna to continue serving, likely still as Vice Mayor. But many of us, his friends in Junior Chamber International (JCI), now want him to serve as National Executive Vice President for the Visayas.
Agree?
It will be his spring board for the National Presidency by 2011, if not in 2010 only that he’ll be busy with the local election in that year.
More discussions in my Multiply page.
By the way, Carlo will fly to the US Thursday, June 5. He’s the only Filipino local official to be part of 16 other non-Americans to participate in the United States International Leadership Visitors Program.

The 4 week leadership program, which
will bring the participants to different States in the US from the East to the
West Coast, will focus on U.S. Federal System of Government, the functions of
the State and Local Governments and its interactions with the Federal
Government and how elections are organized and how private individuals and
organizations work with local governments to provide services and ensure accountability.
The program’s participants are
established or potential foreign leaders in government, politics, media,
education, economics, labor, human rights and a variety of other fields.
Previous Philippine participants include multi-awarded Mayor Jesse Robredo
of Naga City, Mayor Edward Hagedorn of
Puerto Princesa City, Cong. Nerissa Soon-Ruiz and Solicitor General Agnes
Devanadera.

Let’s have coffee, and discuss more!
